Create your own masterpiece!

Spectrum, our art group led by Gill Esam, meets again on Wednesday 25th in the Village Centre next to Long Crendon Library.

Each session has a theme, with a demonstration given to start you off.

A helping hand is always available, whatever your ability, and examples are provided to work from and to give you ideas.

Deep in concentration – we are the quietest church activity!

Work in progress

The group are happy with their artwork

We are a friendly bunch; do come along and join us – even if you haven’t painted for years.

Equipment is provided to get you started at Start Up Spectrum on the 2nd Wednesday of the month, or if you’ve got more experience, Spectrum meet on the 4th Wednesday every month.

Party in the Park

Despite grey and cool conditions, the Party in the Park on Saturday was a great success with lots of people of all ages enjoying games, music and cream teas.  LCBC  wanted to celebrate being well over halfway through the building process, and to thank other villagers for their patience during this time.

There were plenty of games, from football competitions to a boy racer challenge

and from nerf guns shooting into a bucket to bouncing balls into jamjars!

For the children there were bouncy castles, facepainting and even a tug of war....

and when you needed a rest there were cream teas and cakes galore.

And of course, great music the whole afternoon.

Thanks to everyone who worked so hard to make this a fun party!

The countdown begins

It's now less than 80 days until the target completion date.

Discussions are underway considering how the Church will function in the new and improved building.

Underfloor heating was completed in early September.

The finished flooring is now being laid.

Looking up, first fix wiring is in on the ground and first floor

and partitions are going in to make offices and meeting rooms on the first floor.

Do join us for the Party in the Park on the recreation ground behind the Church in Long Crendon tomorrow afternoon, Saturday 14th September, from 2pm (or if you’re helping set up, be there at 11:30am, Neil will be allocating jobs to willing volunteers)!
