Beaks and feathers

In the book of Isaiah, we hear about the habitats of many animals and birds, including owls and falcons. This week, Adventurers were delighted to receive a visit from Wheatley Birds of Prey.

The children learned about what they eat, how fast they can fly and how wide their wings are.

Clive and Jane were surprised how much some of the children already knew about the birds.

The children got to see and handle several birds including a falcon, a hawk named Charlie, a barn owl called Pepper, and a Bengal owl named Ted.

Some of the birds at the centre have been adopted from animal rescue centres.
