Harvest celebration 2013

Grant got us all thinking about where our food comes from with an inflatable globe.

 Spot the ball!

Neil spoke to us about being thankful to God for everything we have - our food, and our skills and abilities, which enable us to grow, make and buy the food we eat.

The younger children made a map of the world to look at where different foods are grown and produced.

Nearly 200 people stayed to share a harvest meal in the sunshine

Even the ones who stayed indoors to eat had sunshine streaming through the windows

Some people like to eat in a crowd

Others prefer to dine alone

Lots of people had been busy making pies from Jeff's apples

Verse for the week:
The earth is the LORD’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; for he founded it on the seas and established it on the waters.  Psalm 24:1&2

All the produce we collected has been donated to the Sharing Life foodbank in Thame, to make up emergency food parcels for people and families in need.
